Rolene married Robert Chester (Chet) Bailey, September 18, 1949, in Rushville, Illinois. He passed away January 10, 2006. Her children are Cheryl Lynn (Rick Kemble) Bartlett of Colchester and Robert Kevin (Sheri) Bailey of Costa Rica. Her true love and passion was her horses and dogs. She raised, trained, and sold 400 plus horses and had raised over 700 dogs in her life as she raised Appaloosa horses and Chihuahua dogs, as well as helping Chet with the farming. She loved to cook and before planting or harvest season would make as many as 26 pies to freeze so that the family could have fresh pie each day.
Rolene was a strong willed woman, who wasn’t afraid to try anything from riding her motorcycle from Kellerville to Quincy to work, to training her favorite horse to kneel so she would mount easier. She and Chet lived a good life together and were very proud of their children and grandchildren.
