Carolyn M. Murfin age 84 of Bardolph, Illinois, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.  She was born April 18, 1932, in rural Schuyler, County, to Elmer and Dorothy Leezer Davis.  Carolyn was united in marriage on November 19, 1949, to William E. Murfin, then later to Gerald Harlin, both of them preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 Brothers: Donald Davis, Richard Davis, 1 Daughter In Law: Rebecca Murfin, 2 Son In Laws: Leslie Rauch and James Hill.
Surviving to mourn her passing are 1 Son: Randy Murfin, Mountain View, Missouri, 5 Daughters: Janet Rauch, Macomb, Illinois,  Coleen Hill, Springfield, Illinois, Cheryl (Scott) Allison, Macomb, Illinois, Judy (Rick) Webster, Bardolph, Illinois, Pamela (Mark) Jackson, Colchester, Illinois, 1 Step Son: Tim (Lynne) Harlin, Cedar, Minnesota, 1 Step Daughter: Dawn (Kurt) Mossage, Moline, Illinois, 18 Grandchildren: Shawn (Debra) Rauch, Angie (Mike) Mantlo, Kim Riley, Jessi Jo Murfin, Jenelle (Murfin) Stephenson, James (Machele) Hill II, Jeff (Stacey) Hill, Jonah Hill, Jill (Jeff) Klinedinst, Monte (Keri) Allison, Kelly (Kelly Murfin) Webster, Kerry Jo (Kevin) Davis, Sara (Wes) Durbin, Stacy (Greg) Strange, Jerame (Jessica) Jackson, Gary (Shannon) Jackson, Andy (Nicole) Jackson, Lisa (Andy) Patton, 5 Step Grandchildren, 44 Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren, 1 Sister In Law; Melba Davis, and 1 very special friend: Walter Richards.
Carolyn was a member the Macomb Assembly of God Church, She had worked at the Everly House in Macomb for several years, she also had been with Columbus Services at Western Illinois University, a in house care giver to many of the elderly. Owner and operator of Karolyn’s Kennels for over 50 years.  She went to Christian Crusades on the East Coast for many years.  She enjoyed gardening, camping, watching rodeo’s, and loved taking care of all types of animals, large and small.  Her greatest love of all was the time she spent with her family.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 10, 2017, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester, with Rev. Jon Keck.  Burial will follow the services at Bardolph Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.  Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home after 9:00 A.M. Sunday.  Memorial is to the Macomb Assembly of God Church.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com

    So sorry for your loss. I got to know her when i was looking for a puppy, I loved visiting with her a few years ago when she was still raising them and of course brought a couple of them home through the years.
