Ron Feld

Ron Feld age 77 of Colchester, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019, at Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb. He was born March 24, 1942 in Quincy, Illinois, to Everett and M. Louise Tice Feld. Ron was united in marriage November 28, 1963 in Virginia, Illinois to Helen Kolberer, she preceded him in death on March 17, 2003.

Surviving to mourn his passing are 1 Son: Greg (Tara) Feld, Macomb, 3 Daughters: Jill (Kevin) Hufendick, Quincy, Judy (Joey) Haddix, Colchester, Kim (Fred) Pendleton, Pekin, 10 Grandchildren; Haleigh (Jared) Ruebush, Josh Haddix, Bryce Haddix, Courtney (Brian) Buford, Abbey (Devan) DePauw, Kelley Hufendick, Hannah (Jeremy Hughes) Feld, Emily Westerhold, Emily Pendleton, Katie Pendleton, and 6 Great Grand Daughters.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 40 years Helen Feld, and 1 Brother: Dave Feld. Ron had been employed at Simpson Powellson Lumber Yard in Colchester, Pioneer Lumber in Macomb, and First Federal Savings Bank in Colchester, where he retired after 20 years. Ron had been a member of the Colchester Fire Department and the Colchester Lions Park Board. He was a member of the Macomb Elks, Colchester Lions Club, NRA, and the Hancock County Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks, meeting his friends for coffee, watching the St Louis Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys, The time he spent with his family brought the greatest joy to his life.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 17, 2019, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Rev. Jim Clayton, internment will follow the services at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home after 9:00 A.M. Thursday.
