Robert Otis Haines age 53 of Peoria, formerly of Colchester, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at O.S.F. Peoria.  He was born August 4, 1964 in LaHarpe, Illinois to Dwight and Dianne Crum Haines.
Surviving to mourn his passing are his Parents Dwight and Dianne Haines, Colchester, 1 Son: Caleb Haines, Farmington, 2 Daughters: Emily Haines, Peoria, Marianne Haines, Farmington, 2 Brothers: Seth (Tanya) Haines, La Harpe, Ernie (Tabby) Haines, Macomb, 1 Sister: Laura (Tony) Irvin, Burlington, Iowa, 2 Nieces, 2 Nephews, and 1 Great Niece.
Otis was preceded in death by his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents.
Otis graduated from Western Illinois University, where he was a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma fraternity.  He had worked in commercial food service for Marriott Food Service on several college campuses, also with Hunters View and then with River City Commercial Laundry.  He was a member of the Farmington Masonic Lodge, Coached Farmington Junior Football League, avid St. Louis Cardinal and, San Francisco 49er fan.  In his free time he enjoyed hunting.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Otis always gave of himself to anyone that needed help.  His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family and friends.
Graveside services will be 3:30 P.M. Monday, March 26, 2018, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester, with Pastor Jim Richardson.  The family will meet with friends following the services on Monday,  March 26, at Bethel Baptist Church.  Jones Mortuary in Colchester is handling arrangements for the family.  Memorial is to help with the funeral cost and Mailed to Jones Mortuary Box 352 Colchester, Illinois, 62326.   Condolences may be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com
