Marilyn Grove

Marilyn Grove age 78 of Quincy, Illinois, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, at the home of her daughter in New London, Missouri. She was born June, 9, 1939, in Industry, Illinois to Charles and Elsie Louise Hodges Lester. Marilyn was united in marriage to Richard Grove, October 22, 1996, in Quincy. He preceded her in death in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving to mourn her passing are her daughter: Crystal (Norman) Schnellbacher, New London, Missouri, 3 Grandchildren: Angel and (Ken) Terry Gallatin, Tennessee, Jennifer and (James) Barmore, Hannibal, Missouri, Michael and (Laura) Schnellbacher, Columbia, Missouri, 9 Great Grandchildren: Kaitlin, Kinsey, Kyleigh Terry, Savannah, Randy Barmore, Jared, Elayna, Levi, Claire Schnellbacher, several Cousins and many very close friends.
Marilyn was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Quincy, She had worked 19 1/2 years for Transitions of Quincy. In her early years she spent the first 10 years of her life moving with her parents. She loved the time in her childhood that she got to spend with her Maternal Grandmother and her mother on the country farm. In her adult life the birth of her daughter brought her great joy. As time went on she loved the time that she got to spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Colchester with Rev. Tim Rosenboom. Jones Mortuary in Colchester is handling arrangements for the family.
