John Lawson Obituary

John Lawson age 65 of Macomb, formerly of Colchester, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at O.S.F. Hospital in Peoria. He was born November 21, 1954, in St. Clair, Missouri, to Ted and Yolda Rulo Lawson. He was united in marriage March 15, 1979, in Mt. Olive, Illinois to Sue Heitmeier.

Surviving to mourn his passing is his wife of 40 years Sue Lawson, Macomb, 1 Son: Ted (Alisha) Lawson, Lasalle, Illinois, 1 Daughter: Toni Lawson, Macomb, 1 Granddaughter: Georgia Shepler Lawson, 1 Grandson: Ethan Lawson, 3 Brothers: Richard (Inez) Lawson, Roy (Dorothy) Lawson, Ted (Judy) Lawson Jr. (Sonny), John’s Second family 2 Sister In Laws: Jean Whitlock, Joni Steele, and 1 Brother In Law: Robert Heitmeier.

John was preceded in death by his parents, 1 Brother: Junior Lawson, 1 Sister in Law: Sue Lawson, and 1 Brother in Law: David Heitmeier.

John was retired from Yetter Manufacturing in Colchester. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, grilling out, reading John Grisham books. The time that he spent with his family brought him the greatest joy. He was always there for all of them.

Private Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at the Jones Mortuary with Gunther Weaver. Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday.
