Elizabeth Rose Lotz

Elizabeth Rose Lotz age 90 of Colchester, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024,  at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.  She was born March 23, 1933, in Macomb, to George and Lura Miller John.  She was united in marriage September 27, 1953, in Macomb to Harry Herbert Lotz.

Surviving to mourn her passing are her husband of 70 years, Harry Lotz, Colchester, children: Jerry Lee ( Debra) Lotz, Collinsville, OK, Harry William (Renee) Lotz, Macomb, Teresa Charlene (Ed) Hinderliter, Coal Valley, Il, Timothy James Lotz, Hannibal, MO., Ronald Matthew (Mary) Lotz, Jacksonville, IL, Randy Joe (Debbie Jo) Lotz, Hillsboro, MO., Christopher Todd (Cathy) Lotz, Blandinsville, IL., Michael Herbert (Sherry) Lotz, Colchester, IL., Trina Christine (Ken) Waller, Herculaneum, MO., grandchildren: Michael Todd Lotz, Thomas Riley Lotz, William Brodie Lotz, Hailey Renee Lotz, Katelyn Corrine Lotz, Christina Rose Manion, Melinda Beth Kaasa, Jonathan Edward Hinderliter, Timothy James Lotz Jr., Lucas Matthew Lotz, Hannah Ker’en Gray, Micah Phillip Nelson Lotz, Leah Diane Grobe, Jessica Ann Lotz, Jared Matthew Lotz, Jordyn Michelle Kolton, Paxtyn Jo Marie Padilla, Gavyn Mae Goforth, Chelsie Elaine Bliss, Zachariah Todd Lotz, Nathanael Lee Lotz, Andrew Leon Lotz, Ashley Nicole Frakes, Kayla Elizabeth Byers, Tyler Joseph Waller, Trevor Andrew Waller, 34 great grandchildren, 4 sisters: Cecelia Louise Strong, Marilyn Joyce Kindle, Linda Kathlene Kepple, Jacqueline Ann Wolf.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandson: Mason Joe Lotz, 2 brothers: Harold Franklin John, George William John, and 2 sisters: Eugenia Charlene John, Esther Naomi Davis.

Elizabeth was very strong in her faith.  She read her bible daily along with daily devotionals.  She was very active in the ministry of her church, The Macomb Assembly of God.  She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, Crocheting, embroidering and singing.  She was very proud that last September she and Harry celebrated their 70th Anniversary with a family celebration.  Elizabeth was very proud of all of her family and loved each one of them dearly, she always had them near to her heart and faithfully prayed for them everyday.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Macomb Assembly of God Church with pastor Larry Connour.  Burial will follow the services at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb.  Visitation with the family will be 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday, February 26, 2024, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester.  Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.
