Stephen C. Andrews - 67

11/18/1951 - 6/5/2019

Fandon, Illinois

Stephen C. Andrews 67 of Fandon, Illinois, passed away, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at his home in Fandon. He was born November 18, 1951, in Macomb, to Gaillard and Clara Conner Andrews.  Stephen was united in marriage to Jolon Curthis on June 21, 1986, in Macomb.

Surviving to mourn his passing is his wife Jolon Andrews of Fandon, 3 Sons: Joshua Andrews, Fandon, Nathaniel Andrews, Fandon, Isaac Andrews, Fandon and 1 Brother: Jerry Andrews, O-Fallon, Illinois.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, 1 Son: Levi Andrews and 1 Daughter: Sarah Andrews.

Stephen had driven a truck for DOT foods before his retirement.  He was a gun smith, he had been the Range Officer for many years at the McDonough County Range,  he also had been a auxiliary police officer with the Macomb / McDonough County Auxiliary Police.  He enjoyed working on guns and shooting targets.  He was a member of the NRA.  In his later years he enjoyed model railroading and fishing.  The thing that brought Stephen the most joy was the time he got to spend with his family no matter what they were all doing, as long as they were doing it together.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Private Celebration of Life will be held this fall.  Memorials are to McDonough District Hospital Hospice or the Education fund for his son Isaac.  The Memorials can be dropped off or mailed to Jones Mortuary, 217 East Depot Street Colchester, Illinois, 62326. Online Condolences may be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com

My deepest sympathy to JoLon, Josh, Nathan and Issac: Steve was a friend of mine. I knew him from many years ago when he was a member of the McDonough County Auxiliary Police and we shared many hours together on the midnight and evening shifts. In the past several years, although Steve's health was not so good, he still liked to go fishing and go "out for coffee". I truly treasured those times and I know he did too. We often saw each other at Argyle Bible church and the Men's Outdoor club meetings and activities.

Shirley and I offer our condolences and prayers to all the family. We will miss Steve.
