Margaret Denise Sprinkle - 62
5/11/1954 - 7/17/2016
Margaret Denise Sprinkle, 62, of rural Industry, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016, at OSF St Francis in Peoria surrounded by her family. Denise was recently diagnosed with cancer and died from complications of the cancer. She was very brave. Denise was born May 11, 1954, in Macomb, Illinois, to Virgil L. and Helen F. Renner Parker.
Denise married Donald L. Sprinkle on February 27, 1979, they later divorced; he survives of rural Industry. Also surviving to mourn her passing are her father, Virgil L. Parker; two brothers, Virgil Paul Parker and Russell Scott Parker; three daughters, Brandy M. Hammond, Shawna C. Sprinkle, and Brooke L. Sprinkle; two step-daughters, Donna L. Sprinkle and Amy J. McKee; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Denise was loved by everyone who knew her.
Denise was preceded in death by her mother Helen; grandparents John William and Beulah Parker, Charlie and Eva Helen Renner; and two brothers, Donnie J. Parker and Tommy E. Parker.
Denise kept herself busy being a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was loving, supportive, full of compassion, and always having a welcoming hug. After raising her children, she babysat for many other children for many years. Most recently, Denise was employed by Western Illinois University at Document and Publication Service, where she was a route driver. In this position she spent just moments with many different people everyday, but moments can be everything, and she made them so. She loved to listen to live music (especially her brother’s bands) and being with family and friends. You could often find her driving around the countryside, reading a book, or just sitting outside enjoying the scenery.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 6 at the American Legion in Macomb, IL, from 2:00-10:00 pm for friends and family. Memorials can be made to the Tommy Parker Pay it Forward Fund, a fund that was set up in honor of her brother in which proceeds help other friends and family in times of need.
The memorials may be left at the Jones Mortuary, Colchester or sent to the manager of the fund, Tami Kreps, 8508 North 125th road, Plymouth, 62367. Jones Mortuary in Colchester is handling arrangements for the family. Online Condolences may be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com
