Larry Louderman age 69 of Colchester, went to be with his Lord on Friday, August 31, 2018, at O.S.F. Hospital, Peoria, Illinois. He was born July 29, 1949, in Macomb, IL. to E. Dwight and Margaret McFadden Louderman. Larry was united in marriage at Bethel Baptist Church on March 30, 1968, to Catherine Parks.
Surviving to mourn his passing are his Mother, Margaret Louderman, Macomb, his wife of 50 years Catherine Louderman, Colchester, 3 Daughters: Lorie (Chris) Calbaugh, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, Stephanie (Matt) Mencel, - Colchester Stacie (Ryan) Hunt, - Colchester, 4 Grandchildren: Rachel Mencel, William Mencel,
Ethan Hunt and Andrew Hunt, 3 Step Grandchildren: Beau Calbaugh, Amanda Stephens, Christina McDaniel, 2 Step Great Grandchildren: Ada Stephens, Clara Stephens, 1 Sister: Luan Moss, Park Forest, Illinois, 2 Nephews: Doug (Sandi) Moss, Roger (Danielle) Moss, 3 Great Nieces and 3 Great Nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his Father: Dwight Louderman, father and mother-in-law: Merle and Ruth Parks, 2 Great Nephews and 1 Great Niece.
Larry was a member of the Argyle Bible Church, where he was a member of the Praise & Worship Team and Audio Visual Department, along with being very active in many other parts of the church. He owned and operated Century Electronics in Colchester for 25 years, Century Sound Recording Studio, in Colchester, and was a Sound Engineer at Methode Electronics in Carthage for 20 years from where he retired. In his earlier years he had worked at Hunt Appliance, Jones Mortuary and Carson’s Western Auto. Larry had been a member of many local bands from 7th grade on. Most recently, Larry was a member of the One Accord Quartet, The King Graffiti Band, and The On Stage Band of which he had a large following. Larry believed that the pinnacle of his musical career occurred Labor Day weekend 2016 and again in 2017, when his dream to produce a Gospel Jamboree with local musician friends came to fruition. The two things that were most important in Larry's life were his love for the Lord and his love for his family.
Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Argyle Bible Church, with Pastor Sam Kostreva and Pastor Michael Deblois. Burial will follow the services at Argyle Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, Sept. 5th at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester. Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday. Memorials can be made to the Argyle Bible Church or Leukemia Research. There will be a Blood Drive in memory of Larry held in Colchester at a later date.
