Ralph Silva age 62 of Colchester, Illinois, went to be with his Lord with his family at his side on, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at his home in Colchester. Ralph was born December 2, 1954, in Los Angeles, California to Manuel and Edna Mae Creasy Silva. He was united in marriage, April 17, 1999 at the Fandon Christian Church to Susan K. Chenoweth, she survives on Colchester.
Surviving to mourn his passing are his Wife: Susan, 3 Sons: Jeremiah (Tici) Silva, Macomb, Bryan (Stephanie) Chenoweth, Peoria, Blake (Jessica) Chenoweth, Pekin, 3 Daughters: Tiffany (Chris) McLaughlin, Monmouth, Misty (Charlie) Gatson, Peck, Kansas, Brandi Chenoweth, Peoria, 10 Grandchildren: DiaVace Silva, Aubrey Silva, Isaiah Silva, Shainee Still, Lily McLaughlin, Iry Gatson, Wyatt Gatson, Siddalea Gatson, Tucker Chenoweth, Ezra Chenoweth, 2 Brothers: Cory (Pauline) Silva, Colchester, John Butch (Susan) Shepherd, Colchester, 3 Sisters: Vicki Jewell, Colchester, Sherry Shepherd, Colchester, and Melody Lord, Los Angeles, California.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Step Father: John Paul Shepherd II, and 1 Sister: Candy Silva.
Ralph served his county for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force. He later worked for Auto Zone as a corporate store maintenance. Ralph enjoyed taking Susan to the movies even after he became ill. He also enjoyed going out to eat, traveling, working of cars and sharing his knowledge of repairing cars with his family. His greatest love was his Lord and his family, and the time he got to spend with his family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, September, 22, 2017, at the Colchester First Christian Church, with Rev. Jon Keck. Burial will take place following the services at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester with Military Rites by the Macomb V.F.W. and Macomb American Legion. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, September 21, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester. Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home after 9:00 A.M. Thursday. Memorials are to Colchester First Christian Church or McDonough District Hospital Hospice.
