    Dorothy J. Williams, formerly of Colchester, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019, at Wesley Village Health Care, Macomb she was 89.  She was born on December 6, 1929, in Evanston, Illinois, to Joseph and Mary Deleskiewicz Francis.  She married Donald Porter on December 24, 1953.  They were divorced in 1972.  She married Melvin Williams on December 27, 1985.  He preceded her in death, October 15, 2003.  

    Surviving to mourn her passing are 1 Son: Donnie Porter of Blandinsville and 1 Daughter: Debbie (Lester) Fowler of Colchester.  Also surviving are 5 Grand Daughters:  Jennifer (Bill) Green of Peru, Il., Leslie (Ryan) Sullivan, Colchester, Megan Porter (Chris Weaver) of Colchester, Darby Porter, Roseville and Hunter Porter of Roseville.  8 Great Grandchildren: Joshua and Jacey Green, Bailey and Madelynn Sullivan, Braelynn Beeler, Kameron Cramer, Jaeli Weaver and Zoey Porter.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Husband: Melvin Williams, and 1 Sister: Barbara Burnham.

    Dorothy worked and retired from Yetter Manufacturing.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and hearing all about the activities of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved to reminisce about the tough, but simpler times of her childhood and life.  She also enjoyed reading, listening to music and watching the Hallmark Channel.

    Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be 11:30 A.M. Saturday, November 2, 2019, with Rev. Jim Clayton, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester.  Friends may sign the register book at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday, November 1.  Memorials are to Wesley Village or Compassus Hospice. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com
