I have so many memories of growing up with Ernie. I have a distinct memory of sleeping over at his house when we were about 12 years old...in a tent in his backyard. We stayed up late telling dirty jokes to each other. Loved that laugh. That bond carried through into our high school years even though we ran in different circles. He would call out my name real loud when he'd see me in the MHS hallways, always making me smile inside. 20 years later we reconnected with each other at reunions and then on Facebook. One of the things I admired about him, besides his craziness, was his love for family. He was always braggin' on his girls and Troy Boy. I will miss him greatly.

Ernie was not preceded in death by his first wife, as they were divorced many years prior to her death. I am sorry when anyone dies, but apparently the truth needed to be told. I loved Melissa we were very close. She died tragically AFTER she had been divorced from Ernie for many years.

My family has lost more than most people ever do in their life. My father was a wonderful man. He may have screwed up in his life but he took care of each and every one of us. People should have respect for the grieving. I love you ole boy! No one will disrespect your passing!
